The North West Leicestershire Let's Get Moving Awards, formerly the Sports and Health Awards, are held to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions made by local people of all ages to sport, physical activity and health across the district.
The Let's Get Moving Awards is a glamorous evening ceremony attended each year by over 500 local people. However, the pandemic sadly meant that the 2020 ceremony was cancelled and in 2021, the team got creative and moved the event online to a live, virtual ceremony.
2022 saw the return of the 'live' ceremony, where we got to celebrate in person the amazing achievements from across the district.
2023 we went bigger and better to host two fabulous evenings. One for the children and young people across the district, and one for adults. Both evenings were a huge success, enabling us to shine the spotlight on even more incredible stories across the district.
For 2024 we hope to build on this success to keep celebrating and inspiring the whole of North West Leicestershire.
